THE MAIDSTONE & MEDWAY CAT CLUB
December 2006

This is a very special show for us as it is the last of the year and it is very close to Christmas. We had a wonderful day. We took Rose Tyler to her first kitten show and she did really well being awarded 1st and Best of Breed. Also her litter brothers were there and they too had really good resultes with Mickey Smith winning 1st and Best of Breed and Captain Jack getting 2nd to his brother.

Mickey went on to win all his classes on the day as well! Many congratulations to their proud owners Nigel and Kim Hayes. Our very handsome Luigi won his 2nd Imperial Grand Champion certificate and also won Best of Breed. He loves going to shows and being the centre of attention!Luigi's sister Rafaella was back at her first show after having babies and really amazed us by winning her 2nd Grand Champion certificate, Best of Breed and also becoming BEST IN SHOW SLH Adult! She was a real star all day.

The perfect christmas present came when our lovely Desdemona took the day by storm. She won another Imperial Grand Premier certificate, another Grand Premier certificate, Best of Breed, all her side classes and then went on to be voted OVERALL BEST IN SHOW. She really is the most special girl and never ceases to impress us. She adores being shown and really knows when she has done well.

Thank you Dessie for being so wonderful.

SUPREME CAT SHOW
November 2006

This is the biggest event in the GCCF cat show calender. Only cats who have qualified by winning an open class may enter and competition is very tough. The first cat to enter the ring was Desdemona. She did so well gaining her first UK Grand Premier Certificate and going on to win Best of Breed.

Next up was Donny who was narrowly beaten and was awarded the reserve UK Grand Premier Certificate. Then came Luigi. We weren't to sure how Luigi would take to being shown in a ring but he just loved it. He played the fool and had everyone in fits of laughter. He won his first UK Grand Champion certificat, Best of Breed and was only just beaten for Best in Variety.

Nijinsky, Minstrel and Dancing Brave, the 3 brown boys from our litter of the year sadly had to compete against each other and there could only be one winner and that was Jinks wioth Minstrel 2nd and Dancing Brave 3rd. It was so close though and they all looked gorgeous. Thank you to their proud owners!

Last but not least Coontastic Juicy Lucy won her 1st Chamiopn certifcate and her sister Coontastic Jewel Empurrer won her first Champion certificate. May thanks to their owners Jae Haynes and Liz Allen. Both of the girls looked wonderful and I think will have beautiful kittens in 2007.

CAPITAL LONGHAIR CA
January 2006

This was the last show as a kitten for COONTASTIC XAVIER and he didn't dissappoint. He won his 8th consecutive kitten open class and BEST OF BREED and going onto to win BEST IN SHOW SLH MALE KITTEN.

That is 3 Best in Show wins in a row, what a fantastic way to end his kitten career. Many congratulation to Sue Wilkinson on her comtinued success with 'Sam'. COONTASTIC DON GIOVANNI also had a very good day winning his 2nd Premier Certificate. To round the day off our lovely Desdemona had a brilliant day.

She won the Reserve Imperial Certificate, 1st in her open and best of breed. She won all her side classes and ended the day by winning BEST SLH NEUTER IN SHOW. This now means that Dessie has won a best in show award every year from 1998 - 2006 inc. Something of a record I suspect! Well done Dessie.
